Richie Sanchez

The Discipleship Project Student, Cohort 2

Richie Sanchez is of Puerto Rican descent, born and raised in New York City. In high school, he was voted “Best Leadership Ability” and “Most Dependable” by his senior class. Still today, ability and work ethic are things that shape his ministry. He had an earlier career in telecommunications, worked for three companies on Fortune’s list of the top 100. Richie earned a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies with a minor in Business Administration from the University of Central Florida, Orlando, FL. He met and married Jasmine, his wife of over 17 years, in New York City.

Several years ago, Richie’s gifts for ministry were affirmed and supported by receiving a call to serve as a commissioned minister to the region of Florida in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Recently, he made the decision to leave his commission for the full-time pursuit of graduate theological education, preparation, and excellence. Richie is pursuing a Master of Divinity degree at Christian Theological Seminary with a goal of ordained ministry.
