Open to church leaders everywhere.

As the landscape of religious life changes, we need to imagine new ways of leading and of sustaining ourselves as church leaders. What are the soul-full practices that build our capacities for resilience and also cultivate our own well-being?

We can no longer simply download from the past. More than ever, we need the creative power of a "greenhouse" to reflect upon our actual experiences, draw upon our collective imaginations, and find the courage to risk new experiments. We need “hot spots” to connect to the deeper sources of spiritual renewal that also provide mutual, on-going, practice-based learning.

On February 27, we will explore perspectives that build resilience, consider the role that communities of practice can play in this process, and engage in a peer group experience that integrates the presentations and hones some practices.

On February 28, we will explore more deeply the practices of peer group facilitation.

Leaders: Chris Braudaway-Bauman and Larry Peers serve as Director and Director of Learning of the Pastoral Excellence Network.

Valley of Peace Lutheran Church is located about 30 minutes by car from the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport. Overnight accommodations are on your own. Two possibilities located near the church are Bungalow 6 Inc. and Homewood Suites by Hilton Minneapolis - Saint Louis Park at West End.
