Are you planning to retire from full-time ministry during the next two to ten years? This event will help you make these years a vital, intentional time for culminating your ministry and also a time of exciting preparation for what’s next. This experience will include not only your own preparation for the next stage of your life and ministry, it will also help you work and plan effectively with your congregation in order for you to finish strong and end well. Led by Larry Peers, this retreat is intended for clergy within two to ten years of retirement as well as judicatory and denominational staff responsible for clergy effectiveness.

The Retreat & Conference Center at Bon Secours is situated on a breathtaking 300-acre property less than 30 minutes from the BWI airport. Amenities include walking paths, a labyrinth, a peace garden, and a chapel, as well as beautiful guest suites with private baths and Wi-Fi.

Dr. Larry Peers is Director of Learning of the Pastoral Excellence Network. Larry is an experienced consultant, clergy coach, and seminar leader. He has led this popular seminar for over ten years. Larry is a former senior consultant with the Alban Institute and has wide expertise in whole systems strategic planning, congregational growth and change, clergy coaching, and conflict management. He is particularly devoted to clergy wellness, clergy excellence, and the special opportunities and satisfactions that the final chapters of ministry hold. Larry has served on the adjunct faculty of Hartford Seminary. An ordained minister for over twenty-five years, Larry has served local congregations, worked as a director of congregational growth and research for a denomination’s national office, and worked with clergy in many faith traditions. He holds doctorates in congregational studies from Hartford Seminary and organizational change from Pepperdine University.

Cost: $400 overnight package (room and all meals); $250 commuter package (all meals included)
